Duke Williams got the start opposite Corey Graham at safety Sunday, but a rotation soon followed. A rotation in which all of their safeties dressed for the game (Colt Anderson was inactive) saw time on defense. Head coach Rex Ryan said it was by design, in part to get Aaron Williams back up to speed in small doses. There also seemed to be a package element to the substitutions as well. In any event here’s a look at the snap count breakdown by safety.
Corey Graham – 68 snaps – 100% playtime
Aaron Williams – 28 snaps – 41% playtime
Duke Williams – 21 snaps – 31% playtime
Jonathan Meeks – 13 snaps – 19% playtime
Robert Blanton – 5 snaps – 7% playtime
